ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
As a Senior Test Analyst (
Python & Playwright
), you play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of activities focused on planning, executing, and managing testing processes. You will contribute to the technical design, development, and maintenance of applications and systems using existing and emerging technology platforms.
Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you'll be part of the Product Technology and Engineering team, helping to ensure that our software is verified and validated against the functional and non-functional specifications through well-defined test cases and automation practices.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Plan automation for projects according to test strategy
Create high level test scenarios
Produce and maintain complex automation test scripts utilising standard automation framework.
Work with offshore partners and ensure they are following all standards and procedures
Actively feed into the Automation Framework
Execute automation scripts, in pipeline, and investigate any failures
Perform manual exploratory testing
Provide detailed analysis of all testing carried out ensuring all defects are logged and managed correctly
Ensure tests are correctly traced to requirements
Work closely with other team members and report progress to manager
Where required raise issues in project meetings ensuring stakeholders are aware
Ensure test assets that are auditable follow company guidelines
Specify requirements for environment data resources and tools
Mentor less experienced Automation Engineers ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles
Actively provide feedback to management which may result in new working practices or general improvements
Qualifications

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
University degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar.
ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Test, Principles of ISTQB.
Minimum 5 years' experience in software development or testing (aviation industry preferred).
Hands-on experience with
Playwright and Python
for automation testing.
Experience with automation frameworks such as Robot (Python) and TestNG (Selenium).
Solid experience testing APIs (RESTful/SOAP).
Working experience in DevOps or Agile environments with strong Agile principles knowledge.
Familiarity with risk-based and model-based testing approaches.
Effective written and verbal communication meeting product/project requirements; working knowledge of MicroFocus tools including ALM Octane.
Proficient in change control, risk and issue management tools, data analysis, documentation, and at least one programming language - Python preferred.
NICE-TO-HAVE
Knowledge of BDD beneficial.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, certification useful.
