Key Responsibilities



Lead the execution of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and breakdown repair of equipment/systems in the field or at client sites. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Assist in the installation, commissioning, and hand-over of new equipment/systems as required. Supervise and mentor junior technicians; provide guidance, training, and share best practices. Maintain accurate service documentation (job cards, maintenance logs, spare-parts usage, service reports) and ensure proper records. Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, operations) and external vendors/clients to ensure timely service delivery and parts availability. Monitor and manage spare-parts inventory for assigned equipment/systems; raise requisitions proactively to avoid operational delays. Ensure compliance with company safety standards, regulatory requirements and company service procedures. Promote a safe working environment at all times. Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost?optimization, and enhanced service quality; propose and implement such improvements. Report to management on service performance metrics (uptime, fault frequency, response times) and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience



Education:

Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics)

or

B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics)

Experience:

Ideally 4-8 years (or as per requirement) of hands-on service/maintenance experience in a manufacturing / industrial / field service environment. Experience supervising/leading 1-2 technicians is preferred.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems (depending on the equipment handled by the company). Ability to use diagnostic tools, interpret technical drawings/schematics and undertake fault?finding. Experience of preventive maintenance planning and breakdown management. Good knowledge of safety practices, and ability to enforce them.

Other Skills:

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) to interact with clients and internal teams. Good organizational and time-management skills and ability to meet service deadlines. Able to travel frequently (within Pune / nearby sites) if required and work flexible hours (if service calls demand). Computer literate: ability to maintain service logs, job cards, basic MS Office or service-management software. Valid driving license (if field?mobility is required) and willingness to travel to client sites.
