Job Description

The Senior Technical Manager will lead the technical, engineering, and product development operations of Dencil Pumps & Systems Pvt. Ltd. The role includes overseeing pump design, testing, installation support, troubleshooting, customer technical interaction, and ensuring product performance as per industry standards. The candidate will also handle project execution, team management, and cross-department coordination.

Key Responsibilities1. Engineering & Technical Leadership

Lead design review, performance analysis, and technical validation of all pump models (centrifugal, dosing, metering, transfer, and custom pump systems). Ensure compliance with IS/ISO/API standards where applicable. Approve engineering drawings, BOMs, datasheets, and test plans. Oversee R&D for new pump models and performance improvement.

2. Project Execution & Technical Support

Provide complete technical guidance for project bids, proposal engineering, and customer specifications. Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and post-sales technical solutions. Coordinate with production, QC, and service teams to ensure smooth execution.

3. Client Interaction & Pre-Sales Engineering

Attend technical meetings with OEMs, EPC contractors, and end users. Review tender documents, prepare technical offers, deviation lists, and pump selection. Handle escalated customer issues with technical authority.

4. Quality & Compliance

Ensure pump testing meets QAP, FAT, and customer-required certifications. Implement manufacturing improvements for quality, durability, and energy efficiency. Evaluate vendor components and approve technical suitability.

5. Team Management

Lead, train, and mentor the engineering and technical service team. Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely project deliveries. Conduct internal technical training for sales, service, and production teams.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of centrifugal pumps, metering pumps, process pumps, industrial pump systems, and mechanical design. Expertise in pump hydraulics, NPSH, performance curves, motor sizing, materials of construction (SS316, CI, Alloy grades). Proficiency in AUTO-CAD/SolidWorks/engineering tools. Strong decision-making, leadership, and customer-handling skills. Ability to analyse failures, vibration issues, performance drop, and mechanical faults.
