Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior CQL (Clinical Quality Language) and DQM (Data Quality Management) Specialist to lead and drive quality initiatives in healthcare data and clinical quality measurement. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Clinical Quality Language (CQL), healthcare quality measurement standards, and comprehensive data quality management practices. This role will be pivotal in enhancing clinical quality reporting and ensuring data integrity across complex healthcare data environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain Clinical Quality Language (CQL) logic for clinical quality measures, decision support rules, and healthcare data standards.
Lead Data Quality Management initiatives to monitor, assess, and improve healthcare data integrity, completeness, and accuracy.
Collaborate with clinical, analytics, and IT teams to translate clinical guidelines into computable CQL expressions.
Design and execute data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure high-quality datasets for clinical reporting and quality improvement programs.
Analyze healthcare data sources for quality issues and develop remediation plans.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on CQL authoring and data quality best practices.
Support compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., CMS, ONC, HL7 FHIR, eCQMs).
Stay updated with evolving clinical quality standards, tools, and industry best practices.
Develop training materials and conduct workshops on CQL and data quality management.
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate quality measures into clinical workflows and health IT systems.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in healthcare quality measurement, clinical data management, or healthcare IT.
Strong proficiency in Clinical Quality Language (CQL), including authoring, testing, and implementing CQL-based quality measures.
Extensive experience with Data Quality Management (DQM) frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Deep understanding of clinical quality measurement standards such as eCQMs, HEDIS, and related CMS and ONC regulations.
Familiarity with HL7 FHIR resources and healthcare data exchange standards.
Experience with clinical decision support (CDS) systems and clinical guideline modeling.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to lead projects, manage stakeholder expectations, and work collaboratively in cross-disciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with quality reporting platforms (e.g., CMS QRDA, Quality Reporting Document Architecture).
Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) for data quality assessment.
Familiarity with healthcare data repositories, EHR systems, and data governance.
Certification in healthcare quality (e.g., CPHQ) or clinical informatics.
