Senior Technical Engineer - Fabrication

Qualification:

Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

Minimum 3 to 4 years Strong technical knowledge and practical understanding of fabrication processes

Location - Near Vanaz

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and monitor fabrication shop activities, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards are maintained. Interpret and review fabrication drawings, material specifications, and process sheets. Plan and allocate work to fabrication teams as per project schedules. Ensure adherence to welding and fabrication procedures (WPS, PQR, etc.). Coordinate with design, planning, and quality departments to resolve technical issues. Inspect fabricated components and assemblies to ensure dimensional and quality compliance. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and progress updates. Identify process improvements and implement cost-effective fabrication methods. Support in material estimation, manpower planning, and resource utilization. Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and shop floor personnel.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong technical knowledge of fabrication processes (cutting, welding, fitting, machining, assembly). Sound understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T. Familiarity with fabrication materials like MS, SS, and alloy steels. Knowledge of fabrication standards and quality norms (ASME, AWS, ISO). Hands-on experience with shop floor supervision and production planning. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, or fabrication planning tools. Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
