Senior Technical Consultant
The Team
GD is a part of Finastra Professional Services which offers consultancy and experience in working with Financial Institutions and Financial Services and operations. The OPICS GD team is involved in implementation of "Finastra Fusion Opics" product suite for leading Financial Institutions across the Globe. The team is involved in various implementation tasks like Installation, Configuration, FED (Funded Extension Development), Data Migration and Report development.
The Product
Finastra Fusion Opics is Comprehensive solution for front-to-back office, cross-asset processing of a wide range of financial instruments. In a single system, it handles vanilla and complex derivatives, fixed income, and equity and treasury trades.
The Responsibilities
As a member of the Fusion Opics team your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
Customer Business Solution Requirements

  • Liaise with the Regional GS Consultants or Clients to analyze the requirements, providing estimate for the requirement and document the proposed technical solution.
  • Identify product configuration and customization requirements
  • Carry out configuring/customizing Finastra applications as per business requirements.
Consultancy
  • Deliver technical consulting on assigned products to ensure clients are able to successfully deploy and use our solutions.
  • Design & present SDK technical, data model training courses to our customers.
  • To develop and deliver the customized solutions with high quality and high performance to client.
  • Analyze and Resolve issues during UAT & Operations testing.
  • Analyze and escalate issues to Finastra product development team, In case of gap/bug in the product, this will include detailed issue escalation and resolution through interaction with other Finastra departments and, where appropriate, the escalation of complex or system wide issues to the Product Management.
Development of tools/processes to enable reuse of configurations and increase productivity
The Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Microsoft .Net platform.
  • Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
  • Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL ( preferred Microsoft SQL and Oracle )
  • Hands on experience C#, VB.net, LINQ, WCF, ADO.net
  • Strong understanding on OOPs concepts.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, XSL and CSS3
  • Strong understanding of XML/XSD/XPATH
  • Knowledge on configuring Web Servers IIS 6.0/7.0/8.0/9.0/10.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal and client facing experience to be able to present GS and the product value to clients and to work with other groups within Finastra (particularly the Sales and Support Team) in supporting the response to proposal requests.
  • Exposure to Banking domain especially Treasury and capital markets would be preferred
