This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Technical Consultant, Observability in India.
In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of observability solutions for large-scale enterprise environments. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to ensure applications perform efficiently while delivering exceptional user experiences. Your expertise will help organizations monitor, trace, and analyze their systems, detect issues proactively, and optimize performance across complex infrastructures. This position provides a hands-on opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools, drive innovation in monitoring and logging practices, and guide post-sales support activities. You will also contribute to strategic planning for scalable, cost-effective observability systems and ensure best practices are adopted across teams.
Accountabilities:

• Implement, configure, and maintain enterprise observability solutions using tools like New Relic, Datadog, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Develop systems for monitoring, logging, and tracing, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.
• Integrate observability practices into engineering workflows and lead adoption within customer infrastructures.
• Create dashboards, alerts, and AIOps rules to monitor key KPIs and business outcomes.
• Provide technical support in post-sales processes, including installation, deployment, training, and escalation handling.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot anomalous behavior, and resolve root causes of service issues.
• Document observability systems, maintain technical guides, and prepare performance reports for stakeholders.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for efficient provisioning and management of monitoring infrastructure.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Application Performance Management tools such as Datadog, New Relic, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk ITSI, Honeycomb, Chronosphere, ExtraHop, Logic Monitor, or similar.
• Expertise with cloud-native and open-source monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and OpenTelemetry (OTEL).
• Experience with public cloud observability tools (AWS CloudWatch, Azure App Insights, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, networking, databases, and system management solutions.
• Familiarity with ITIL, ITSM, SRE, or DevOps principles and operational best practices.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Generalist software engineering knowledge, including programming in Python, Java, Go, .NET, NodeJS, Ruby, or PHP.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, service mesh technologies, and end-user platforms (iOS, Android, JavaScript, HTML5).
• Experience with configuration management and IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, project management, and communication skills, with a collaborative and continuous learning mindset.
