Job Title: Senior Technical Business Analyst
Location: Trivandrum (Preferred) | Open to candidates across India
Work Hours: 8-hour shift within 7:30 PM IST 4:30 AM IST
Experience: 8+ years overall | 6+ years as Technical Business Analyst
Compensation: INR 21,00,000 25,00,000 per annum
About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and motivated Senior Technical Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technical execution. In this role, you will transform high-level business problem statements into clearly defined projects, analytical models, and development-ready user stories.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, BI teams, and product teams across the full data lifecycle-from problem discovery and data exploration to insights delivery and measurable business outcomes. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about data, analytics, and structured problem-solving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Analytical Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand high-level problem statements and translate them into detailed requirements and project scope
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
• Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, process flows, and analytical documentation
• Convert business needs into clear, concise, and development-ready user stories and tasks in Jira

Data & Technical Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to design, review, and validate data pipelines, data models, and ETL/ELT workflows
• Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools to effectively communicate insights
• Apply foundational data science techniques including statistical analysis, basic predictive modeling, and ML fundamentals
• Validate data quality, accuracy, and consistency across multiple data sources and systems

Collaboration & Execution

• Work closely with product, engineering, BI, and operations teams to support end-to-end delivery of analytics solutions
• Support development, testing, and deployment of data-driven solutions
• Present findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Required Skill Sets
Must-Have Skills

• 6+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation
• Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Foundational knowledge of Data Engineering concepts including ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and statistical modeling
• Strong business analysis, problem framing, and requirement-gathering skills

Soft Skills

• Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills
• Ability to translate business problems into technical and analytical solutions
• High curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies

Educational Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech or equivalent degree in:

• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Data Science
• Related technical disciplines

Nice to Have

• Exposure to predictive analytics or machine learning use cases
• Certifications in data analytics, cloud platforms, or BI tools
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
