Know more about us: Brief about the Team The packaging team at Tata 1mg plays a critical role in ensuring that products are properly packaged, labelled, and prepared for shipment or delivery. They collaborate with product designers, engineers, and marketers to develop functional and visually appealing packaging solutions. The team selects appropriate packaging materials, considering factors such as product protection, transportation requirements, and sustainability. They execute the packaging process using machinery and equipment to enhance efficiency. Quality control checks are conducted to maintain product integrity, and compliance with packaging regulations and standards is ensured.. What will you do: Packaging Process Management: Overseeing and managing the packaging process to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards. This includes coordinating with production teams, identifying bottlenecks, implementing process improvements, and optimizing packaging operations. Managing packaging inventory levels, forecasting requirements, and coordinating with procurement teams to ensure an uninterrupted supply of packaging materials. Optimizing inventory turnover, reducing wastage, and maintaining accurate records of packaging materials. Quality Assurance with Continuous Improvement: Ensuring that packaging materials, labelling, and finished products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and resolving any quality-related issues or non-compliance. Proactively identifying opportunities to improve packaging processes, streamline operations, and enhance efficiency. Implementing initiatives such as lean principles, automation, and technology adoption to optimize packaging operations. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensuring adherence to packaging regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, implementing necessary adjustments to packaging materials and processes, and maintaining compliance records. Cost Optimization: Identifying cost-saving opportunities within the packaging process while maintaining quality standards. Analyzing packaging costs, negotiating with suppliers, exploring alternative packaging solutions, and implementing strategies to reduce expenses. What we are looking for : Completed Master-s degree from Premier Colleges. Should have 2-3 yrs of experience in Packaging Development and planning functions. Should have a strong track record of driving fundamental innovations in Packaging, particularly in the Consumer products space. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
