The quality of school education available to students from low-income communities across India is abysmal. Their chances of attending college, or building a career are significantly lower than their high-income peers, condemning them to a life without voice or choice. iTeach was born in 2015 to challenge this status quo and create a level playing field for ALL children.

Responsibilities:

I. Design teaching plans and excel at teaching your subject (60% time)

Design innovative Annual Plans, Unit Plans, and Lesson Plans - and contribute to the central Curriculum Teach subjects of your expertise and achieve stellar outcomes Design and conduct regular assessments to monitor learning and analyze data to improve the school Define and lead the building of a positive and strong school culture with a focus on learning and joy Collaborate with parents of the students through regular meetings to ensure their active involvement

II. Coordination of School and Organization Projects (30% time)

Coordinate and lead the highest impact projects in school, such as Hobby Clubs, Career Awareness, Annual Day, Sports Day, etc. Serve as iTeach Subject Team Coordinators, Grade Team Coordinators, and iTeach Interviewers Coordinate relationships with government officials, neighboring schools, and the iTeach Network Team Use these opportunities to strengthen your leadership skills and mentor newer teachers

III. Mentoring students (10% time)

Mentor nearly 15-20 students throughout the year Develop ways to ensure that these students have strong study habits, high attendance, and the drive to excel - share these plans with all teachers across the ecosystem

Experience and Competencies:

Required: Bachelor's Degree with strong academic and holistic performance Required: Top quartile score on iTeach Teacher Aptitude Test Required: Teaching experience in a secondary grade for 2+ years Preferred: B Ed Degree

Compensation and Benefits:

We take pride in offering competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with the candidate's education and work experience. The salary range for this position ranges from 4.4 - 5.4 LPA CTC, and we are dedicated to providing top-notch industry benefits.
