Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Windows Server Administration: Manage and maintain Windows Server environments

(2016/2019/2022), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).

• Virtualization Management: Deploy, configure, and manage VMware vSphere environments,

including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines. Implement high availability and
disaster recovery solutions using VMware technologies.

• Backup and Recovery: Design and implement backup strategies using Veeam Backup &

Replication. Ensure regular backups, perform recovery testing, and manage backup
repositories.

• Cloud Infrastructure: Configure and manage Microsoft Azure services, including virtual

networks, storage accounts, virtual machines, and Azure Active Directory. Implement hybrid
cloud solutions integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure.

• Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and

implement optimizations to ensure high availability and reliability of services.

• Security Compliance: Ensure systems adhere to security best practices and compliance

requirements. Implement security measures such as firewalls, antivirus solutions, and patch
management.

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations,

procedures, and changes.
Backup and Disaster Recovery Skills

• Designing and implementing backup strategies for on-premises Windows servers and cloud

workloads

• Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, Windows Server Backup,

Azure Backup.

• Knowledge of backup types: full, incremental, differential, and snapshot backups
• Implementing disaster recovery plans including replication and failover mechanisms
• Testing backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability
• Understanding of Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO)

concepts

• Managing backup schedules, retention policies, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on Windows

Server and VMware environments.

• Proficiency in managing and configuring Veeam Backup & Replication solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation tasks.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
• Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
