Role Overview
The Senior System & Network Administrator will own and manage Imperative's entire IT infrastructure and
network ecosystem, ensuring security, stability, compliance, and audit readiness. The role includes end-to
end responsibility for networks, firewalls, systems, IT support, InfoSec compliance, audits, asset
management, and IT governance across all IBVL offices (Thane/ Pune / Or anyother) and remote setups.
Key Responsibilities
1. Network & Firewall Management (Primary Ownership)
Design, manage, and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VLANs, VPNs, and leased line connectivity.
Own firewall configuration, rule creation, policy enforcement, and periodic reviews.
Manage network segmentation, secure zones, and access isolation as per InfoSec policies.
Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, latency, and uptime.
Troubleshoot network outages, packet loss, routing, and connectivity issues.
Coordinate with ISPs, leased line providers, and network OEMs for SLAs and escalations.
Implement redundancy, failover, and backup links to ensure high availability.
2. Systems & Infrastructure Management
Manage Windows & Linux servers, virtualization, and on-prem / cloud infrastructure.
Handle Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, and user access management.
Ensure patching, updates, system hardening, and endpoint protection.
Monitor system health, logs, alerts, and capacity planning.
3. IT Operations & Local Support
Provide L2/L3 IT support for hardware, software, network, and access-related issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve all IT-related queries for internal stakeholders.
Support new user onboarding, access provisioning, and de-provisioning.
Maintain IT service uptime for business-critical operations.
4. Information Security, Audit & Compliance
Ensure continuous InfoSec compliance aligned with ISO 27001, SOC, client audits, and internal
policies.
Act as single point of contact (SPOC) for all IT audits.
Maintain audit evidence, logs, access reports, and compliance documentation.
Conduct periodic risk assessments, vulnerability checks, and corrective actions.
Enforce password policies, access controls, data protection, and logging standards.
5. Policy Creation & Documentation
Create, implement, and maintain IT & InfoSec policies, including:
o Information Security Policy
o Network & Firewall Security Policy
o Access Control & User Management Policy
o Backup, DR & BCP Policy
o Asset & Inventory Management Policy
o Incident Response & Escalation Policy
Ensure policies are reviewed, approved, and communicated across the organization.
6. Asset, Inventory & Surveillance Management
Maintain end-to-end IT asset inventory (laptops, desktops, servers, networking devices).
Track allocation, movement, repairs, AMC, warranty, and asset disposal.
Manage CCTV systems, access control, surveillance monitoring, and logs.
Maintain stock of IT peripherals, spares, and consumables.
7. Backup, DR & Business Continuity
Own data backup strategy, backup validation, and periodic restore drills.
Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) initiatives.
Ensure systems meet RPO/RTO objectives defined by management and clients.
8. Vendor & Cost Management (Added Value)
Manage relationships with ISPs, firewall vendors, OEMs, and AMC partners.
Track IT costs, renewals, licenses, and infrastructure optimization.
Recommend cost-effective, secure, and scalable IT solutions.
Required Skills & Expertise
Strong hands-on experience in Networking (LAN/WAN/VLAN/VPN).
Deep expertise in Firewalls, Network Security, and Access Controls.
Solid understanding of InfoSec compliance and IT audits.
Experience with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory.
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: CCNA / CCNP / CEH / ISO 27001 / ITIL (preferred).
Experience in BPO, KPO, BFSI, FinTech, or compliance-heavy environments.
Exposure to SIEM, SOC coordination, and log monitoring is an advantage.
