Role Summary:





We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior structural engineer to join our Aeronautics team, specializing in rotary-wing UAVs, helicopters, and advanced drone platforms. The role requires deep expertise in composite materials (CFRP and other fiber-reinforced composites), structural analysis and optimization, and proficiency with finite element tools (ANSYS). The successful candidate will lead the design, analysis, and validation of lightweight, high-performance airframes and rotorcraft structures that meet stringent aerospace standards.







Key Responsibilities:




Structural Design & Analysis

: + Lead the design and analysis of UAV and helicopter structures, focusing on CFRP and advanced composite materials.
+ Perform static, dynamic, modal, and vibration analyses for load-bearing and rotating components.
+ Develop optimized structural layouts considering weight, stiffness, fatigue, and manufacturability.

Simulation & Tools

: + Conduct FEA using ANSYS and other CAE tools for stress, fatigue, and vibration analysis.
+ Support multi-physics simulations, including aeroelasticity, rotor dynamics, and crashworthiness.
+ Create models to predict structural behavior under various operational and environmental conditions.

Testing & Validation

: + Define and oversee structural and vibration test campaigns for UAV prototypes.
+ Correlate test results with FEA simulations to improve accuracy and reliability.
+ Support certification and compliance with aerospace structural standards (e.g., FAA/EASA/DoD).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

: + Work closely with aerodynamics, propulsion, and systems engineering teams to ensure structural integration.
+ Provide structural insights for manufacturing processes (autoclave curing, RTM, additive manufacturing for composites).
+ Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building structural engineering best practices.

Requirement:




Bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering (PhD preferred). 3-4 years of experience in aerospace structures (rotorcraft/UAV preferred). Proven expertise in composites (CFRP, sandwich structures, hybrid laminates). Hands-on proficiency with ANSYS and vibration analysis tools. Strong understanding of aero-structural coupling, modal dynamics, and fatigue analysis. Experience with rotorcraft/rotor blade structural design is highly desirable.


Preferred skills:



Knowledge of aeronautical regulations and certification processes. Experience in lightweight structure optimization for UAVs and drones. Familiarity with additive manufacturing and traditional manufacturing methodology for aerospace structures. Strong problem-solving ability with excellent communication and leadership skills.
