Job Description

Formal Nursing Degree/Diploma:

Completion of a recognized nursing program, such as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

(B.Sc. Nursing/BSN)

or a

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Diploma

(often requiring an additional midwifery/psychiatric nursing certificate).

Valid Professional License:

Mandatory registration as a

Registered Nurse (RN)

or

Registered Nurse and Midwife (R.N.R.M.)

with the relevant State or National Nursing Council to practice legally.

Core Clinical Skills:

Proficiency in fundamental nursing procedures, including

patient assessment

,

medication administration

,

IV insertion

,

wound care

, and knowledge of

Basic Life Support (BLS)

protocols.

Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving:

The ability to rapidly and accurately assess changes in a patient's condition, make quick, logical decisions, and effectively manage high-pressure/emergency situations.

Effective Communication & Empathy:

Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with the patient, family, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team, coupled with strong

compassion

and

emotional stability

to provide patient-centered care.
