The Senior Staff Nurse is responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, maintaining standards of nursing practice, and assisting in the coordination of daily ward or department activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and guide staff nurses and nursing assistants in providing effective patient care.
Ensure all nursing procedures are performed according to hospital policies and protocols.
Monitor patient condition and coordinate with doctors for timely interventions.
Maintain accurate patient records, reports, and documentation.
Ensure proper administration and documentation of medications.
Check availability and proper functioning of equipment and supplies.
Ensure infection control and safety practices are followed in the ward.
Handle patient and family queries with empathy and professionalism.
Assist in staff training, orientation, and performance evaluation.
Ensure discipline, punctuality, and adherence to hospital policies among nursing staff.
Coordinate during medical emergencies and ensure smooth patient management.
Participate in quality assurance and accreditation activities.
Qualification & Experience:

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing
Experience:
Minimum 2-4 years of clinical experience in a hospital.
