Responsibilities:

• Perform and review month end close activities, including preparation and review of general ledger entries
• Perform daily credit card transactions matching resolving unmatched transactions, preparing entries and publishing weekly reporting
• Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules for journal entries and reports
• Prepare and support monthly accruals
• Perform assigned account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly flux analysis of balance sheet and income statement expense accounts
• Maintain and enhance the internal controls over accounting processes and systems
• Ensure that the close activities are performed as per the agreed close calendar
• Assist in process improvement projects as needed

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting required, CA or CPA Plus
• 5+ years accounting-related experience with public accounting and/or multi-national company
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Highly proficient in Excel, Word and other MS Office products
• Excellent communication skills and must be fluent in English (Portuguese is a huge plus)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized with a great attention to detail
• Ability to work in software systems, especially financial systems.
• Strong work ethic and ownership of tasks
• Ability to work cohesively with multiple people in a fast-paced team environment
• Experience with Coupa, NetSuite or other accounting systems a plus
