The ideal candidate will possess strong architectural and development experience in both Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Security use cases/apps. As a Senior Splunk Engineer, you will play a crucial role in integrating Splunk with diverse data sources and leading commercial security tools, employing various protocols. Key Responsibilities: Architect and develop solutions for Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Security use cases/apps. Integrate Splunk with a wide array of data sources and industry-leading commercial security tools. Perform advanced searching and reporting to implement specialized/custom dashboards. Consult with customers to decompose services, customize, and configure Splunk to meet requirements. Communicate effectively with customer stakeholders, including leadership, support teams, and system administrators. Create formal documentation such as reports, training material, slide decks, and architecture diagrams. Identify, evaluate, design, implement, and optimize Splunk with Splunk policy and goals. Build Glass Tables and Splunk dashboards using Dashboards Studio. Implement data normalization and adhere to the Splunk Common Information Model (CIM). Build KPIs, services, entities, Service Analyzers, and Deep Dives. Architect and deploy clustered/distributed Splunk Enterprise implementations for large, complex customers. Demonstrate experience with software development, system architecture, and/or databases (a plus). Exhibit strong experience in Linux/Unix administration. Work with logging technologies, including syslog, Windows Event collectors, and agent-based data acquisition. Demonstrate proficiency in command-line tools (tail, grep, awk, sed, less) for log monitoring and analysis. Possess experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python). Have a solid understanding of system and network protocols. Showcase excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Exhibit good communication and teamwork abilities.
