Welcome to Novonesis in our new Global Supplier Quality hub in Bangalore.

• We are responsible for quality assurance of raw materials, primary packaging and suppliers across all Novonesis sites. You will join an experienced team that is always looking for ways to improve quality of work and processes. Your experience and enthusiasm will be key in delivering this goal.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

• Having overall focus to ensure compliance to global quality and food/feed safety standards with a specific focus on raw materials, primary packaging and suppliers within the ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 and FAMI-QS framework.
• Take lead on scientific and regulatory review and approval of raw material and primary packaging documentation for new and existing materials
• Ensure alignment on specifications and setup with key stakeholders in Sourcing, Innovation, QC, local QA and regulatory, as well as with suppliers
• Perform risk assessments, approvals, specifications and change management of raw materials and primary packaging, responsible for supplier and manufacture approvals
• Audit of business-critical vendors and manufacturers globally, incl. follow up on audit completion; travels up to 15-20 days per year
• Subject matter expert on defined areas within raw material/packaging/vendor area
• Support and work with the entire organization on matters related to supplier quality management
• Develop and maintain procedures, systems, and tools to secure continued compliance to global requirements.
• Maintain requirements for global approval of raw materials; includes Kosher and Halal and other certification needs.

To succeed you must hold:

• MSc in Life science/Microbiology/Biotechnology
• Minimum 12 years' experience in food, pharmaceutical industries
• Working knowledge/Expert knowledge of HACCP, manufacturing processes, production technology, products, raw materials and quality and food safety issues, local and global Food Safety legislation and regulations
• Effective communication and collaboration skills; ability to structure and prioritize own tasks; capable of making pragmatic decisions while maintaining overview and sense of detail.
