Role: Senior Specialist - Public Relations

Location: Bangalore

We are looking for a seasoned, self-starter professional with an entrepreneurial mindset to join our PR team, and help us in realizing this vision. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a knack for identifying potential story angles, excellent media relations, and be good at execution, and content.

You will get to work on strategy, and long term strategic plans for Xiaomi; and collaborate closely with stakeholders to create compelling narratives, secure media placements, and establish thought leadership within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product launches
• At Xiaomi India, every year we have strive to bring to our users the best of technologies that make a positive difference to their lives. We have a robust portfolio across smartphones and AIoT (ecosystem products). You will be responsible for developing end to end launch strategies and execution to to ensure that our products find their right audiences
• Brand campaigns
• Xiaomi fans feels a very strong love for the brand, because of our commitment to the organization\'s mission, our marketing campaigns, quality and services; and consumer support. The Public Relations team is the gatekeeper for maintaining this; you will be responsible for reinforcing this through campaigns and other outreaches.
• Content
• We like to tell our own story, and that is why our audiences find us very authentic. You will be expected to translate our ideas into words, and being good at content will make you a valued member of the PR team.

• Media Relations:
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, KOLs and media outlets to secure positive media coverage
• Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinate interviews and press releases
• Content Creation:
• Create engaging and persuasive press releases, articles, and other PR materials for distribution
• Oversee the development of compelling storytelling to enhance the organization\'s image

• Work with other teams and functions and international markets for launches, projects and for any organization level campaigns

• Bachelor\'s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred)
• 3-6 years of work experience in PR agencies or in-house teams, & preferably (not limited to) in consumer tech brands, new age internet companies, or in a start-up environment
• Strong understanding of public relations best practices, media relations, and crisis management
