The Senior Specialist - Accounting & Finance will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, banking activities, and financial reporting. This role requires hands-on expertise in Indian accounting standards, taxation, reconciliations, and financial systems, along with the ability to independently manage daily finance operations and support audits and management reporting.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Systems

  • Maintain and manage books of accounts using Tally and Zoho Books.
  • Post, review, and validate daily accounting entries including bank entries, journal vouchers, receipts, payments, and adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate recording of revenues, expenses, assets, liabilities, and provisions.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and manage depreciation schedules.
Payments & Banking Operations
  • Execute vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and operational disbursements.
  • Plan and manage weekly and monthly payment cycles in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor cash and bank balances.
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
  • Prepare and file GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns.
  • Compute, pay, and file TDS returns on a quarterly basis.
  • Manage statutory compliances related to PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax, including monthly filings.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for statutory, tax, and internal audits.
Import & Export Accounting
  • Prepare, verify, and maintain import and export documentation such as Bills of Entry, shipping bills, invoices, packing lists, and related compliance records.
  • Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA) and logistics partners to ensure accurate documentation and timely clearances.
Reconciliation & Reporting
  • Perform vendor and customer ledger reconciliations, follow up on outstanding balances, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support month-end closing activities including accruals, provisions, and ageing analysis.
  • Prepare MIS reports and financial summaries for management review.
Financial Planning & Support
  • Assist in budgeting, cash flow planning, and basic financial analysis.
  • Provide financial documentation and support to internal departments as required.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards and statutory regulations including GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and PT.
  • Hands-on experience with import/export accounting and coordination with CHA and logistics partners.
  • Proficiency in bank reconciliation, vendor/customer reconciliation, and month-end closing processes.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Tally ERP and Zoho Books.
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, financial controls, and documentation.
  • Ability to independently manage payments, statutory filings, reconciliations, and reporting with high accuracy.
