In this position, you will be accountable for supporting proactively and holistically Enterprise Architecture (EA) activities within the IT Human Resources Product Groups and Platforms that fit within the overall EA and meet the product group strategy. As a Solution Architect, you will provide the necessary leadership, experience, analysis and design tasks related to the development of a set of products within a product group. You will work closely with DevOps / development teams and suppliers to secure that the value planned will be delivered in the most optimal way according to the product strategy and the overall value for money objectives linked to the IS/IT strategy. You will be accountable for managing the design as well as the integration execution within the scope, collaborating with the integration platform team and owning the solution architecture specification
A day in the life ....
Manage and develop the architecture for a broader scope of products / platforms, working closely with application and solution architects that manage and design architecture for a single product or product group
Deliver the architectural design for products or product groups and inputs to the roadmap by utilizing knowledge of defined reference architectures, technology trends, and implementation experience in order to translate a business need into a solution blueprint that represents an end-to-end technical solution
Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations
Monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements
Define the guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure that product-based decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision
Design and direct the governance activities associated with ensuring product architecture assurance and compliance
Engage with Technology Leads, Business Analysts, Product Managers and Enterprise Architects within (and across) the product groups to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise architecture
Representative ITHR AOA as senior member on site in Bangalore Operational Hub
Actively participate in IT Bangalore Hub Weekly Operational Review and Monthly
Coach / guide stream team on site across Bangalore Hub
Participate in building the IT Hub Community in Bangalore
This is a hybrid role and would work from the office 2-3 days per week on site in Bangalore
What Will Make You Successful
Bachelor's degree in business or computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in at least two IT HR solution development disciplines (SuccessFactors and SAP HCM are must), including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations.
Understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to business problems
Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
Excellent understanding of application development methodologies & infrastructure and network architecture
Work with diverse groups and teams across India and Globally
Have a strong coaching mindset to be able to lead and guide others across the Bangalore Hub.
Ability to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements
Ability to propose and estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives
Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations
Effectively communicates in English at different levels in the organization
Experiences working in a global environment and with virtual teams
