Role Summary

As a member of the Cybersecurity Team, the developer will work closely with security engineers, penetration testers and product management to lead the development of new applications and tools, designed to enable Sophos to better consume and integrate with Cybersecurity team services.

We are seeking an individual with a passion for software engineering, a keen interest in exploring and leveraging new technologies, and a strong aptitude for debugging. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be willing to work in different timezones as needed.

What you will do

• Design, develop and debug existing and new applications
• Develop comprehensive supporting documentation to enable colleagues to consume the services you build
• Work closely with other software engineers and the wider Cybersecurity team develop common goals and outcomes
• Build the environments and infrastructure required to support the services you develop

What you will bring

• Strong background in developing applications, services and libraries in ReactJs, Ruby, Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS, Bash..
• Experience in AngularJs is a plus
• Good problem solving and debugging skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Desire to design and build new projects from the ground up
• Remote working available
• Bonus: an interest in cybersecurity
• Candidate should be comfortable working in Night shifts.
