Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support critical business applications.

Create and manage KornShell (Ksh) and Perl scripts for automation, data processing, and system administration tasks.

Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize existing PL/SQL code and scripts to enhance performance and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.

Implement data integration and migration strategies using database and scripting technologies.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all code and processes.

Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, adherence to best practices, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in a similar role.

Expertise in PL/SQL for Oracle database development, including advanced knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and data modeling concepts.

Extensive experience with Shell Scripting, specifically KornShell (Ksh), for automating tasks and building robust command-line tools.

Proven proficiency in Perl scripting for text processing, data manipulation, and system automation.

Solid understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Good to Have Qualifications

Experience with SQR (SQL Reports) for generating reports.

Knowledge of Groovy for scripting on the Java platform.

Proficiency in C programming for system-level development.

Experience with version control systems like Git.
