About the Team:
Lowe's Supply Chain ecosystem is a critical backbone of the organization and is undergoing a transformative modernization initiative. With numerous distribution centres and planning units working in concert, the supply chain must support an agile, event-driven flow of goods - factoring in key operational costs such as storage, movement, labour, and space. It is inherently a reactive, distributed system that demands applications and platforms capable of responding dynamically to real-time events - such as trailer check-ins or inventory fluctuations. This modernization effort is unlike any prior transformation in Lowe's history. The convergence of distributed systems with next-generation technologies such as AI offers an opportunity to reimagine supply chain interactions at every level. We are at a pivotal moment that requires engineers who not only understand the technical complexities but can also translate them into actionable platform capabilities - through intelligent contracts, system interfaces, and adaptive workflows.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains
AI platform
(
AI role, apple solutions, RAG, LLN's, MCP servers, AI agents
) ensuring the platform meets functional requirements and performance criteria.
Participates in the lifecycle of AI platform development, including ideation, prototyping, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Contributes to the design of scalable and robust infrastructure needed to support
AI model
s in collaboration with infrastructure teams.
Assists in the integration of AI capabilities into various products and platforms, ensuring smooth transitions and functionality.
Contributes to peer code reviews, learning from senior team members, and adheres to best practices in AI development.
Keeps relevant with the latest technologies and frameworks in AI, suggesting improvements and updates to existing systems.
Supports the implementation of security and compliance measures within the AI development process, aligning with company policies and industry regulations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, or relevant field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree) and 2 years of experience executing and deploying data science, ML, and DL (fewer years may be accepted with a Master's or Doctorate degree)
Years of Experience:
5+ years of overall experience, 1 year of experience in programming language experience
1 year of experience working with
ML Operations tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, statistics, physics, economics, data science, information science, or quantitative analytics
1 year of experience working with cross-functional partners
1 year of experience in
SQL and NoSQL databases, Hadoop ecosystem, Druid, Trino, Big Query, Google Vertex AI
