The new Microsoft Edge web browser, based on the Chromium open-source project, is thriving. The browser is the most-used class of application on Windows and other platforms, and Microsoft Edge is currently used by hundreds of millions of users.

The Edge Web Platform team is chartered to build the cross-platform web application story and developer tools that help web developers build, test, debug, optimize and deploy their web applications more productively. Progressive Web Apps, WebView2, Edge DevTools, WebDriver, Webhint are examples of technologies we build and ship. Our goal is to help make web an excellent canvas that developers choose for their creations that span across Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android and more. We partner closely with several teams across Microsoft - VS Code, Teams, Outlook, TypeScript, Visual Studio, Office, Surface, Xbox, Windows to enable developers to build great applications using web technologies. We are deeply engaged in the Chromium OSS project and continue to work closely with other browser vendors, web standards bodies, and the open-source community at large.

Skilled at design and implementation with a focus on quality. Create layered, componentized, testable, interface-based designs. Robust implementation and crafted end-user experiences. Design highly performant, highly usable, scalable, world-ready, accessible software. Collaborate across functional and partner teams to define requirements. Own and communicate complex architecture and designs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience.
A BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. Excellent design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Ability to design highly usable, performant, scalable, world-ready, accessible software. Ability to create layered, componentized, testable, interface-based designs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in C++ or Windows development. Experience in Microsoft .NET technologies (C# and .NET Framework) and/or competitive offerings. Experience with Windows architecture, internals and app development is a plus. Experience working on the Chromium project is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective collaboration skills driving changes at scale. Experience in Data Driven Engineering or Agile Development is a plus. Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies is a plus. 7+ years of professional industry experience working on large projects
