Job Summary

Position:

Senior Software Engineer - SAP ABAP

Responsibilities

Develop technical design documents from functional design documents created by Business Analysts. Provide solution design and development using SAP ABAP best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver projects. Perform code reviews and guide the quality team to adhere to standards

Technical Skills Required (Must-Have)

Core ABAP Development with strong modularization techniques: Classes, Subroutines, Includes, Function Modules (Normal and RFCs) using latest syntax on 7.4/7.5. Proficient in RICEF objects, Enhancements, BADIs, Interface concepts, and Module Pool programming. Designing Smart Forms / Adobe Forms.

OData Services (2-3 years):

Strong hands-on experience with OData service design and development. Worked on $batch, $expand scenarios, and custom OData implementations.

Fiori / BTP Development (1-2 years):

Designing, developing, and deploying UI applications in SAP BTP. Experience with SAP BTP Cloud Connector. Strong skills in XML, jQuery, JavaScript, and HTML.

Domain Knowledge:

Functional understanding of SAP SD. Knowledge of SAP EWM/TM preferred..

Skills Desired (Good-to-Have)

Strong skills in building interfaces based on REST APIs. Understanding of middleware technologies such as PI/PO, SOAP, and file-based transfers. S/4HANA: CDS Views, AMDP, API extensions; RAP/CAPM knowledge is an added advantage.

Personal Characteristics

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A continuous learning mindset. Strong team player with the ability to mentor junior resources. Good customer-facing abilities.

Education and Certification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
