Primary Skills Required Responsibilities:

o Architect/design and support the installation, and administration of virtualization VMware & Red Hat OSV suite of products.


o Responsible for the entire lifecycle of the technologies globally including infrastructure security vulnerability patching, planning, designing, implementation, maintenance, upgrades and decommissioning of hardware and software.


o Engineer, test and document procedures, monitoring, logging, disaster recovery process and security policies and guidelines


o Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of hardware and software products.


o Research industry best practices and trends. o Provide operational support of all global infrastructure hosting solution on VMware & Red Hat OSV server platforms.


o Provide consulting services to OS support teams and application teams as required for performance review and production outage root cause analysis.


o Global deployment of VMware & Red Hat infrastructure platform server components - ESXi, vCenter, vRops, Red Hat OSV, Red Hat migrations, Red Hat Operators


oGlobal deployment of security vulnerability patches on VMware infrastructure platform server components (ESXi, vCenter, vRops)


o Lead or participate in server engineering projects (e.g. automation, shared virtualization farms, capacity on demand, technology refresh, etc.)


o Lead or participate in server operations projects (e.g. ESX host upgrades, vCenter upgrades, affinity rule rollout, VM resource adds, VM restores, etc.)


o ProvideL1 - L3 level support to Operations teams for virtual machine related issues.


o Participate L1-L2 off-hour on-call rotation once ~every 2 months.


oSupport VMware server platform field testing. o Support HPE Synergy/ProLiant iLO and firmware field testing.


o Develop and maintain Operational Documentation.


o Develop automation for day-2 operations in support of server compute infrastructure.

Experience Required: Technical Qualifications:

o Overall 10+ years in IT development/operations/support/migrations


o 5+ years of experience with OpenShift Virtualization/automation - Knowledge about containers/pods - Deep insight about K8s - Virtual Machine management - Knowledge about PVCs and Operators


o 3+ Years of experience with Tekton Pipelines for Automation


o 5+ years of experience with Git repo mgmt. and usage.


o 3+ years of experience with Argo CD knowledge


o 3+ years of creating/managing Ansible playbooks


o 3+ years of PowerShell, Ansible & Yaml scripting


o 3+ years of managing Dockers


o 3+ Years of experience with VMWare vSphere ESXi, vCenter, vROPS


o 3+Years of experience working with VMware & Red Hat Server Infrastructure server hardware and related network components.


o 3+ Years of experience working in a Global/Large VMware environment.


o Infrastructure Experience with servers, network, storage, database, and backups.


o Experience in SQL Server, WebSphere, Windows OS, Linux OS.


o Familiar with PowerCLI and API calls via code.

- Basic Qualifications:


o Virtual server computing infrastructure knowledge.


o Scripting experience with PowerShell, Ansible & Yaml


o Enterprise Datacenter server hosting server experience or Hosting Infrastructure.


o Windows server or Linux operating system.


o Ability to work with a variety of cross functional teams to support deployment to remote locations.


o Proven track record of organizing and leading projects involving VMware/Red Hat or related infrastructure technologies for a large enterprise.


o Exceptional technical writing skills (run books, DR plans, platform architecture, etc.)


o Familiar with Ford Agile delivery concepts.


o Strong communication skills.


o Willingness to learn new technologies


o Good team player working with Global team
