Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Software Engineer (ServiceNow Custom Application Developer)

with 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and delivering custom applications on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building scoped applications, extending ServiceNow capabilities, and integrating with third-party systems to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy

custom ServiceNow applications

and modules. Configure and customize ServiceNow applications including workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and ACLs. Build reusable scoped applications and frameworks aligned with ServiceNow best practices. Develop and maintain

REST/SOAP integrations

with external systems. Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance. Implement

ATF (Automated Test Framework)

for custom applications. Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing ServiceNow solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint delivery planning.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of experience

in ServiceNow development with a focus on

Custom Application Development (CAD)

. Strong hands-on experience with

ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, Script Includes, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Client Scripts

. Expertise in

Scoped Applications

development and deployment. Experience with

ServiceNow IntegrationHub

and APIs (REST, SOAP). Proficiency in

JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS

, and related web technologies. Good knowledge of

ServiceNow Security (ACLs, roles, domain separation)

. Strong understanding of

ServiceNow data model, tables, and CMDB concepts

. Experience in

Agile/Scrum delivery

and CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow (Jenkins, Git, ATF).

Good to Have

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

certification. Experience with

Performance Analytics, Virtual Agent, Mobile App development

. Familiarity with

ServiceNow Store applications

. Prior experience in

ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, ITAM (HAM/SAM), HRSD, or CSM

modules.

Soft Skills

Excellent problem-solving and solution design abilities. Strong communication and client-facing skills. Ability to work independently in a remote/distributed environment.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant ServiceNow certifications preferred.
