Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Production Support (Unix / Oracle SQL)

Shift: US EST Time (1 PM - 10 PM EST)



We are looking for a Mid to Senior level Production Support Engineer to support mission-critical applications in a US EST time zone. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Unix scripting, Oracle SQL, and incident management within a production environment, preferably in the banking domain.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Provide L2 Production Support and collaborate with L1 teams for incident resolution. Monitor and troubleshoot Unix-based applications and perform root cause analysis. Handle Oracle SQL queries, performance tuning, and database-related issues. Ensure 24/7 uptime and stability of applications by addressing production incidents. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for issue escalation and timely resolution. Maintain proper documentation and incident logs

Must-Have Skills:

6-10 years of experience in Production Support (L2 level). Strong hands-on experience in Unix commands and Unix scripting. Good working knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL troubleshooting. Exposure to the Banking domain is preferred. Ability to work in a production support environment with strong problem-solving skills. Experience in collaborating with L1 support teams. Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Good-to-Have


Experience in Dynatrace, OEM, or other monitoring tools. Understanding of incident management and ITIL practices. Familiarity with batch job monitoring and automation scripts.
