About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software developer with experience in developing in Java as well as an interest in security to join us in building the most secure services on premises and in Hybrid Cloud environments.
You should have experience designing scalable, customer-centric systems and a passion for delivering secure software solutions. Along with senior leaders, principal engineers, and security specialists you will solve challenges of growing and operating a globally distributed cryptographic security service. This role's charter is to develop, build, deploy, and support platform security specific solutions and infrastructure to help protect Workday customers data.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work in a production focused organization. You will be working in a rapidly moving environment where resilience and scalability are key non-functional requirements. This will require you to work effectively within your own team but also to coordinate with others in teams both locally and in other timezones.
You will be:

• Architecting, designing, implementing, testing and deploying services with robust unit tests and metrics
• Driving continuous improvement within the team to ensure a high quality service
• Delivering quality features on-time and on-budget and implementing towards project plans and delivery commitments
• Leading team members to handle the day-to-day development activities, participate in designs, design review, code review, and implementation
• Mentoring and leading junior engineers and guiding them towards good software development techniques
• Maintaining current technical knowledge to support evolving technology, always on a look out for new technologies and working with the team in bringing them in.

About You
Basic Qualification

• 8+ years experience in software development engineering, architecting, building, and scaling robust and efficient software systems.
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Other Qualification

• Strong ability in Algorithmic Thinking,
• Team Leading exprerience
• Solid experience with API Development, including API protocols or design principles and experience in designing and building
• Strong understanding of Code Testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles and their application in designing scalable software architectures.
• Solid understanding of Software Development principles
• Solid experience with Source Control Management (SCM) tools
• Proven ability to lead Team Collaboration within a software development team and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong skills in creating Technical Writing Documentation.
