Job Description

Job purpose:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building high-quality, innovative, and fully performing web applications that comply with coding standards and technical design. Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements web applications. Determines systems software design requirements, ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency, Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures. May participate in all aspects of software development, from detailed programming to high-level system design.

Key Responsibilities:Must have:

5+ years of professional experience in PHP development o Must have hands on experience with Design, Develop, and Maintain scalable PHP-based web applications. o Must have experience in PHP Core and can write clean, maintainable, and efficient code o Worked on PHP framework like Laravel/Symfony/CodeIgniter or other frameworks is good to have o Integrate data storage solutions such as MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL. o Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, designers, and other team members to deliver robust solutions. o Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback. o Must have experience into Debug and troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolutions. o Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.

Must have working experience on end-to-end project delivery including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support Must have working experience with various testing levels, such as, unit testing, integration testing and system testing Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing best practices and helping them grow technically Nice to have: General insurance domain understanding Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Understanding of caching, session management, and security best practices Stay updated with emerging web technologies and apply them to operations and activities Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, Trello, Asana)

Qualifications:

BE/B.Tech in IT / Computer Science

Experience:

5+ years of experience in PHP development Strong knowledge of PHP Core and one or more PHP frameworks Experience with version control systems like Git. Working experience as an individual contributor and within diversified team Experience to discuss and understand requirement from stakeholde Understanding of caching, session management, and security best practices Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Knowledge

:

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns Programming skill Strong SQL background. Insurance industry knowledge Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus Experience with code quality tools (PHPStan, Psalm)
