Role Description

Role Description: Senior Software Engineer- Oracle Apex Developer

The Oracle ApEx Developer is responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining ApEx Applications and related database objects for our client. This position will work directly with business leaders, team members, and IT leadership to provide technical support, new solutions, and data delivery to support business processes and decisions.

Role and responsibilities

• Create, enhance, support and maintain Oracle ApEx applications.
• Create, enhance, support and maintain Oracle ApEx applications related database objects.
• Create, enhance, support and consume Web Services and Rest APIS's through ApEx applications related database objects.
• Provide typical troubleshooting and research support in response to business and IT leads' requests.
• Alter existing and develop new database objects including stored procedures and packages as part of changing business needs.
• Do performance tuning and query optimization on DB objects.
• Load CSV files through SQL Loader or custom parsers.
• Extend and create new Forms, Reports, Authentication Schemes and Authorization Schemes in ApEx Applications.
• Perform analysis of proposed information request and collaborate with business units and IT leaders to drive solutions.
• Write documentation to describe scheduled jobs, stored procedures, scripts, schema changes, reports and coding for all supported databases.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
• Comply with project plans and industry standards
• Ability to Work closely with different scrum teams to understand the product and plan
• Understanding of Agile practices and JIRA

Technical skills requirements
The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,

• Minimum of 5+ years demonstrated experience creating, maintaining, and editing typical ApEx Applications.
• Minimum of 5+ years demonstrated experience creating and supporting complex objects with Oracle database.
• Experience in performance tuning of Oracle database Objects.
• Experience with stored procedures with a strong ability to comprehend code, identify deficiencies and develop improvements.
• Practical knowledge of JavaScript, XML and HTML.
• Practical knowledge of SQL Developer or Toad or Oracle is a must.
• Strong technical, problem solving, and reasoning skills.
• General knowledge of web services and their consumption in ApEx is a plus.

Required Qualifications

• 4 years Graduate / 3 years Postgraduate, BE/B-Tech, MCA, M.Sc.-IT, MBA-IT from top-tier universities
• 5 years of development experience with Technical Writing
• Demonstrated ability to work well in an agile team environment
