This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer (.NET + React) in India.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing a service management platform that supports critical client operations. You will work across the full stack, handling both backend C# .NET systems and frontend frameworks, while leading modernization efforts to adopt React and .NET Core. This role provides an opportunity to influence architecture decisions, optimize performance, and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and leverage AI-powered development tools to increase efficiency. The position offers a hybrid work model and a dynamic environment where technical innovation and hands-on problem-solving are highly valued.
Accountabilities:

• Maintain and enhance existing applications using C# .NET, ASP.NET MVC, jQuery, KnockoutJS, and Angular.
• Design and implement modernization strategies to migrate legacy codebases to React and .NET Core.
• Build and optimize backend services, APIs, and database interactions using Entity Framework or NHibernate.
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party REST APIs.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
• Lead technical decision-making around architecture, modernization strategy, and code quality.
• Mentor team members and participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Support deployment processes and troubleshoot production issues as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in C# .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, and related backend technologies.
• Experience with frontend frameworks including jQuery, KnockoutJS, Angular, and React.
• Proficiency with database management and ORM tools like Entity Framework or NHibernate.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud services.
• Proven ability to modernize legacy systems and adopt best practices in .NET Core and React.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, accountable, and collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with automated testing frameworks, microservices architectures, SaaS platforms, or API design.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and performance tuning for databases.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
