LexisNexis Risk Solution group are currently seeking a Software Engineer to be part of a friendly, forward thinking collaborative team. This role would suit a recent graduate or someone looking for the opportunity to build further on acquired skills.

We provide excellent training and mentoring so that on completion you will be able to:

• Performs moderate research, design, and software development assignments using Core Technology and Concepts \xe2\x80\x93 Bigdata \xe2\x80\x93 HPCC ECL, Basic Python, ETL concepts or BI.
• Be comfortable working day-to-day in the key technologies \xe2\x80\x93 SQL, DevOps, Basic Cloud (Azure), Unix.

What we are looking for:

• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

• Strong analytical skills, Communication, Problem Solving skills.
• Very Strong knowledge on SQL, Unix.
• Expert on Data Manipulation Language, Advance ETL concepts.
• Expertise in PreData processing, Facts and Dimension, Data Profiling, knowledge in using any ETL tool \xe2\x80\x93 Talend, Informatica, IBM DataStage, Pentaho.
• Strong at Python, OR Azure Cloud. Either 1 strong is a mandate.
• Ideally an understanding of ETL - Data Science, Bigdata Engineer using Python or equivalent language.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
• Good to have basic Kubernetes or Terraform knowledge.
• Good Problem Solving and Requirement understanding skills as well as a positive attitude, ability, and desires to learn new processes and technologies.
