As a Senior Software Engineer - M&C Payments at BP, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions that support our payment orchestration and global payments. You will be instrumental in driving technical excellence, ensuring system reliability, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of complex software systems for orchestrating payments in BP, applying principles of Solution Architecture and System Design.
Drive the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, leveraging expertise in Continuous deployment and release and Source control and code manage.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product owners, architects, and operations, to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions, emphasizing strong Collaboration and Communication.
Experience with AWS cloud environment and understanding how to modify, update the stack.
Oversee Configuration management and release activities, ensuring consistency and integrity of software environments.
Can lead digital payment operations making sure to work on the processes along the way and improve the same.
Develop and implement scripts/AI based solutions to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Contribute to the strategic direction of software development practices, including the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
Mentor and coach junior engineers, actively contributing to Creating a high performing tea through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.
Ensure the security and resilience of developed systems, applying best practices in Information Security and Service operations and resilie.
Facilitate technical discussions and workshops, leveraging strong Facilitation skills to drive consensus and problem-solving.
Manage and prioritize technical tasks within a digital project framework, demonstrating skills in Digital Project Management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in payments or retail related field.
Expertise in Solution Architecture and System Design for complex enterprise applications.
Proficiency in AI based solutions to enhance the observability and efficiency of the application.
Extensive experience with Continuous deployment and release, Source control and code manage, and Configuration management and r tools and practices.
Strong scripting abilities in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Demonstrated experience in Information Security and Service operations and resilie.
Excellent Collaboration, Communication, and Facilitation skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Experience in Digital Project Management methodologies.
Experience in leading a very small setup of operations and development efforts.
A track record of Creating a high performing tea through mentorship and technical leadership.
