Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Join our Oilfield Services Digital Team! Our Oilfield Services business provides intelligent, connected technologies to monitor and control our energy extraction assets. Our Digital Team partners with business units and clients to develop software and technical innovation. We collaborate with our development teams in science, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, and geoscience to develop innovative software. Partner with the best As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll take ownership of the development process, ensuring the continuous improvement of code. You will collaborate with Product Owners and Domain Experts to create features for our applications. You will engineer and develop versatile products and services for the energy industry. As a Senior Software Engineer (Java), you will be responsible for:

• Acting as a member of the Software Centre of Excellence managing high quality design and development practices.
• Contributing and taking part software and architectural development activities
• Developing high performing, scaling and innovative end-to-end web applications.
• Collaborating with system engineers, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with.
• Writing codes that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.

Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
• Have a minimum 8+ yrs of experience in Java/J2EE with understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Have an experience developing web applications/micro services using Spring Boot, RESTful, and Web Services.
• Have an experience in front-end technologies such as JavaScript. (Desirable)
• Have experience in one or multiple Database like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL, NoSQL (Desirable)
• Have good problem solving ,troubleshooting skills and develop reliable, cost effective, high quality solutions for complex products.
