Your Job

As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain low-code custom applications with a primary focus on the Mendix platform. You will lead API integrations and ensure efficient, high-quality software delivery that supports our global digital transformation goals. Working closely with the Scrum development team, you will align technical solutions with business objectives, system architecture, and organizational standards. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of technical practices and standards across software development, deployment, and operations.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications that align with business requirements by working closely with product owners, business analysts and other stakeholders. Build and maintain low-code applications using Mendix and other platforms, leveraging its visual development tools to create scalable, secure and high-performance solutions. Customize Mendix modules and implement advanced business logic using Java, JavaScript, or Mendix's microflows. Design, build, and maintain robust RESTful API integrations with third-party systems to ensure seamless data exchange and functionality across platforms. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement designs and ensure the application is intuitive and user-friendly. Develop and maintain complex database schemas along with the design and implementation of SQL queries to interact with relational databases. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and bug fixes to ensure the reliability and performance of Mendix applications. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices in software development. Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Provide insights into the latest industry tools and methodologies that can help improve the development process and deliver more product value.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience. Strong hands-on experience developing applications on the Mendix platform, including customizations and integrations. Strong knowledge of Mendix application building blocks (microflows, pages, entities, etc.). Proficient in JavaScript, including modern ES6+ syntax, and experienced with frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. Competent in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, responsive design principles, and design systems Solid experience with API Development & Integration. Experience with Git or other version control systems. Strong experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server). Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

What Will Put You Ahead

Ability to manage multiple priorities and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities. Mendix Certification (Mendix Rapid Developer or greater). Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and deployment strategies. Familiarity with tools like Figma, Visio, JIRA.
