, you'll play a pivotal role in building and scaling backend systems that drive feeds and notifications--empowering users to efficiently triage messages, apps, and AI-driven content.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience.
Solid grasp of algorithms, data structures, and system architecture.
Experience with high-scale services, CI/CD pipelines, databases, and RESTful APIs on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Hands-on expertise in debugging customer issues and managing live site incidents.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for technical excellence and continuous learning.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or big data analytics.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services supporting Teams across multiple platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality features, solve technical challenges, and drive innovation. Build tools for monitoring, analytics, and automated recovery to ensure service reliability and performance. Champion best practices for performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and secure, frequent releases. Enhance developer productivity by creating internal tools and providing actionable feedback on code and product quality. Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards across all backend systems.
