Focus of the Role


Working with your team to execute on the overall Software testing strategy, helping Telstra to simplify our IT systems, strengthen business resilience and ultimately maximize the value we deliver to our customers. You will be engaged to design and optimize testing opportunities within a variety of workstreams and functional areas across the enterprise. Your continuous learning and improvement mindset and collaboration skills are critical to success in this role, as you continue to build your knowledge and expertise in more complex test environments.

What You'll Do



Design and implement robust automation solutions for functional, regression, and performance testing.

Lead automation strategy across multiple product domains including assurance, supply chain, and media orchestration.

Collaborate with developers, testers, and product owners to embed automation early in the development lifecycle.

Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines and test environments.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering forums and process improvement initiatives.


About You



Strong hands-on experience in various testing types: Functional, Integration, Regression, System, and End-to-End.

Proven expertise in API automation using Cucumber BDD or Postman Collection Runner.

Proficient with tools like GIT and Bamboo for version control and CI/CD.

Experience working in Agile environments with data-driven testing approaches.

Familiarity with test and defect management tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven team with shifting priorities.

Exposure to monitoring tools like Splunk, New Relic, or AWS CloudWatch.


Nice to Have:


Strong communication and client collaboration skills.


Ability to manage QA delivery end-to-end for projects.


Prior experience in the Telecom domain is a plus.
