Team and Position Summary:

U.S. Omni Tech - Store & Supply Chain Tech: This is the team that ensures our customers receive their orders as fast as they want and where they want, in a friction-less, predictable way. Build reusable products and services that manage our catalog and power end-to-end inventory management, ranging from replenishment and fulfilment to transportation. With end-to-end inventory management, ranging from replenishment and fulfilment to transportation, they provide our drivers and partners with the tools they need to get the right items, on time, in the right packaging to customers.

You will be part of Global Logistics System (GLS) US Grocery & Imports team at Walmart Global Tech. Our team is responsible for design, development, and implementation of end to end Warehouse Management Solutions/Services for US Grocery and Imports Distribution Centres in the United States which serve to a wide variety of Walmart Stores. You are required to innovate to lower the operational cost, provide greater value to the business and build the best in class experience to our Business Partners and Customers.

Position Responsibilities:

• You will have to collaborate with Product teams and other stakeholders to gather requirements, perform analysis and come up with design solutions satisfying business needs.
• You need to build and test highly scalable solutions for the proposed business features following Agile principles.
• You will have to make sure that code quality is maintained to the defined standards without Security Vulnerabilities.
• You will need to periodically review all deliverables created by the team members and guide them both technically and functionally, and address all their technical challenges.
• You need to interact and collaborate with different team members in different time zones and be flexible to work in Tech modernization initiatives along with Product features.
• You will have to learn new technologies and adapt them to ensure best software practices and standards are followed for our team deliverables.
• You will need to look at opportunities for functional process optimisation and create value to business.
• You will show your skills in troubleshooting coding problems quickly and efficiently in a high-impact environment.

Position Requirements:

Minimum qualifications:

Engineering degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

8 - 12 years of relevant experience in building resilient and highly scalable systems.

Sound technical knowledge in Object Oriented Programming and Frameworks - Java 8, Spring boot, Microservices, Rest API, Kafka and SQL queries.

Good understanding of Software Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms, Problem Solving and Agile Principles.

Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and provide technical solutions to fix those issues.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills.

Additional Qualifications:

Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.

Exposure towards Apache Camel and containerisation ecosystem such as Docker, Kubernetes.

Good working experience and functional understanding in Warehouse Management System.

A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate and optimise systems and tools.
