As a senior developer in the Foreign Exchange (FX) Trading business of the London Stock Exchange, you and your team will design and build components and tools critical to supporting the complex trading workflows across LSEG's FX venues. The software produced by the team provides insight into FX trading pre-trade, execution, and post-trade workflows as orders, pricing, trades, and reference data flow through the trading systems, as well as supporting regulatory requirements. This role will give you opportunities to develop your financial technology expertise, for example, in trading paradigms, FIX protocol, noSQL database (Elasticsearch), message oriented protocols, REST API, Java and Web UI. Working closely with business proposition leaders, product managers, architects, support engineers and other software development teams, you will work to implement innovative solutions using varied technologies to meet the needs of the business and customers. Role Purpose Apply business requirements and knowledge of software development lifecycles to design, produce and guide the development of software products within the FX Technology space. This role is key to helping the business on its journey to next generation of FX products. Responsibilities Contributes to and develops high-quality software design and architecture Identifies, prioritizes, and executes tasks in the software development life cycle Develops tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code Designs, develops, and delivers software solutions that align with architecture, operational and risk processes Collaborates with other teams to analyze requirements and produce innovative software designs Automates tasks through appropriate tools and scripting Supports validation and verification testing Provides technical leadership Education and Experience Required Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Core java: 5 years of experience in Core Java application development and enterprise software design Database, SQL Familiarity with WEB UI / full stack Experience in Agile development methodologies Proficient at delivering quality software Atlassian Jira and Confluence CICD tooling such as Git/Gitlab/Bamboo/BitBucket/Sonarqube Application Security Tools such as Veracode/Coverity/Blackduck Continuously adopt a pragmatic, flexible and responsive approach Strong verbal and written communications Linux Preferred: Javascript and frameworks such as Angular and vueJS NoSQL database (ElasticSearch) Spring boot FX knowledge FIX 5.x protocol At LSEG, we believe that creating a diverse and inclusive organisation is fundamental to the way we deliver on our promise of creating essential partnerships and open opportunities.
