About the Role:
This role is performed by an experienced professional and will undertake difficult research, design and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products under the guidance of more senior members of the squad
ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with other Development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components Developing and maintaining the existing user interface and back-end systems Implementing development processes, coding best practices and code reviews Resolving technical issues as necessary Completing bug fixes and resolving technical issues

RequirementsBS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience Solid Software development experience Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework. Experience with Hibernate/JPA, Gradle, Docker is also desirable Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Typescript, some experience of React is also desirable) Experience of Semantic technologies, e.g. RDF, OWL, SPARQL, GRAPH DB would be desirable Experience of using RESTful web services, consuming common forms of data such as JSON The ability to design and build unit-tested, modular code and deploy and run it on local and cloud infrastructure Understanding of Agile software development process and unit testing and understanding of SOLID and Clean Coding principles
