The Senior Software Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for design, implement and maintain the Console Software for Diagnostic instruments infrastructure for our Global teams. This position is part of the Clinical Chemistry & Immuno Assay (CCIA) Business Unit of Beckman Coulter in Bangalore and will be functioning on hybrid mode of operation. You will be a part of the CCIA IDC and report to the Sanesh C K responsible for Console Software delivery and Global DevOps. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Design and develop quality medical device software products with extensive application of technical principals, theories, and concepts in Software Development Create architecture, design, code and unit test modules/components with best-in-class quality to serve in Healthcare Industry! Conduct and participate in reviews (design, code, test) and inspections, ensuring application of software engineering standard methodologies, as well as the feasibility, efficacy, and compliance to functional and regulatory standards. Collaborate with software V&V team, managers, distributed and multi-functional teams to build products which meets quality, performance, scalability, reliability, and schedule goals. Investigate software, hardware, and system problems using a variety of techniques and provides innovative solutions. Prepare documentations as required by internal product development processes and regulatory agencies such as FDA and ISO. The essential requirements of the job include: B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. 4+ years of experience in development for commercial products, preferably electro-mechanical instruments. Experience in building data presentation layers for large complex data sets. Proven experience in designing and developing C# .NET based solutions with strong foundation of WPF. Experience with real-time transaction processing and data persistence using SQL database as well as low-level, nuts and bolts Windows experience are pluses. Working knowledge of FDA Quality Systems Regulation is desirable. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation, Windows 32 and embedded software development are pluses.
