The Role
As a
Senior Software Engineer
, you'll be part of a
data-centric team
responsible for aggregating, processing, and standardizing large-scale datasets from multiple geographies for downstream systems. You will design scalable, reliable data pipelines and collaborate with the
ECHO team
to deliver high-quality, compliant financial planning solutions.
Responsibilities
Build and optimize data systems
+ Design scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines.
+ Standardize, clean, and prepare data for downstream use.
+ Implement caching and performance optimization strategies.
Ensure system reliability
+ Troubleshoot production issues across data pipelines and systems.
+ Maintain scalability, reliability, and testability.
Collaborate and deliver
+ Work with product managers, architects, and other engineers to align solutions with business goals.
+ Participate in Agile development processes (planning, estimation, retrospectives).
Contribute to engineering culture
+ Apply software engineering best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
+ Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge.
Required Technical Skills
6+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in
data engineering or distributed systems
.
Strong expertise in
Python
and
PySpark
.
Hands-on experience with
Big Data tools
(Hive, Iceberg, etc.).
Proficiency in
AWS services
(EMR, Glue, Athena).
Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
Knowledge of caching techniques and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of
OOP, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with
TypeScript (JavaScript)
or
.NET (C#)
.
Familiarity with
NoSQL databases
(e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB).
Exposure to
DevOps practices
(CI/CD, monitoring, alerting).
Knowledge of financial data systems or regulated environments.
