Senior Software Engineer
(Internally referred to as a Senior Technical Consultant)

The Sr Software Engineer will serve as a technical thought leader and SME for our public Cloud / DevOps ecosystem of partners, customers, and service providers. The DevOps Engineer works as part of the engineering team to support the design and implements the DevOps solution. They will recommend, evaluate, and implement methods to optimize and enhance the application within the cloud environment to maximize performance and minimize costs. This is an exciting opportunity to augment your current skills, as well as, learn new technologies.

Roles and Responsibilites

• • Lead the integration of various DevOps tools and infrastructure automation
  • Work closely with enterprise configuration management team to build CI/CD pipelines, design, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions, and review existing technology implementations and suggest and implement improvements and upgrades. Implementation, configuration, and support of the latest technologies
  • Provide technical thought leadership based on DevOps Handbook to collaboratively work with a team (as an Architect) that maintains an enterprise solution by architecting and Integrating DevOps technical components
  • Lead project team members in adopting CI/CD pipeline and practices that ensure maximum utilization of pipeline features
  • Propose and develop DevOps CI/CD pipeline orchestration solutions

Qualifications

• • Architecting and Integrating DevOps technical components
  • Expert knowledge of Python and related frameworks including Django and Flask.
  • A deep understanding and multi-process architecture and the threading limitations of Python.
  • Writing scalable code using Python programming language.
  • Coordinating with development teams to determine application requirements.
  • Kubernetes administration experience, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Building CI/CD pipelines
  • Source control tools (GIT, TFS), Jenkins CI/CD, etc.
  • Automation technologies such as Ansible to automate server builds, installation, configuration, and change management
  • Scripting (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, shell, Bash/KSH)
  • Experience working with automation Tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform etc.
  • Docker
  • Monitoring tools such as Splunk
  • Agile and Software Development Life Cycle
  • Knowledge of modern cloud-native application design principles, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI\\CD Pipelines, Microservices, Containers, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools.
  • Familiar with Windows Server and Linux virtualized Operating Systems Environments
