Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Senior Software Engineer

with 5+ years of experience to join our fully remote team. You will work independently to design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications and services, while collaborating with our product and design teams to create seamless learning experiences for students. This role requires availability during

US business hours

.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Laravel, Angular, NestJs (Node.js), and Flask. Manage relational databases using MySQL, ensuring performance, security, and reliability. Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS. Implement containerized applications using Docker for isolation and reproducibility. Collaborate with the team using GitHub for version control and CI/CD workflows. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to deliver a seamless user experience. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when needed.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of professional software development experience. Strong proficiency in

Laravel, Angular, NestJs (Node.js), and Flask

. Experience with

MySQL

database design and optimization. Hands-on experience with

AWS

services and cloud deployment. Proficient in

GitHub

version control, including CI/CD workflows. Experience with

Docker

for containerization and application isolation. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. Availability during

US business hours

. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality software.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with microservices architecture. Familiarity with automated testing and quality assurance processes. Prior experience in edtech or education-focused software is a plus.
