About the Role

Ready to take on a high-impact engineering challenge? As our Senior Software Engineer - Food, you'll play a key role in building the backend systems that power GoFood. You'll design and develop scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant services, working closely with Product and Operations to bring seamless experiences to millions of users. What You Will Do

+ Be responsible for the end-to-end development and delivery of medium to high complexity features and services to power core GoFood business + Communicate, collaborate and work effectively across all the pods in your team.
+ Improves the development experience at GOJEK by enhancing development tools, test coverage, and/or code structure.
+ Code, Design, prototype, perform reviews and consult in the process of building highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems
+ As our senior technologist continuously refactor applications and architectures to maintain high-quality levels, be actively involved in formulating product roadmap
+ Continue to stay abreast of the latest technologies in distributed systems, caching and research new technologies, tools that enable building the next generation systems
+ Act as an engineer that enjoys writing readable, concise, reusable, extensible code every day
+ Discuss, articulate requirements with product management and scope, execute the feature road ma

What You Will Need

+ At least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying large scale applications, microservices in any language or stack (preferably golang) + Good skill in design, development, testing and deploying applications on Golang or Erlang or Ruby or Java large-scale applications
+ Has an in-depth understanding of at least one programming language and framework
+ Excellent attitude and passion working in a team with willingness to learn
+ Able to collaborate well with multiple stakeholders in parallel to align & unblock the team
+ Experience in building low latency, high volume REST API requests handling
+ Experience in working with relational databases (like postgres)
+ Experience in working with distributed caches like Redis
+ Ability to scope, review and refine user stories for technical completeness and to alleviate dependency risks
