Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.

These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. With every role in the company, each position has a requirement for building quality into every output. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Basic, structured, standard approach to work
• Own, adjust and harden platform support processes in anticipation of a 15-minute response time SLA
• Respond to tickets and resolve issues within SLA; provide platform level troubleshooting and recovery
• Ensuring timely update to stakeholders
• Improve operational performance on existing platform- upstream and downstream applications and provide end to end hardware management and distributed systems support
• Monitor and diagnose the system's health and fix the issues and make sure operations are running without any problems/issues to support the development and deliverables of the applications
• Perform the regular maintenance task and monitor the automated systems and reporting system's health
• Take proactive steps to prevent and minimize outages and downtime; manage upgrades and patches
• Monitor platform health and provide periodic status reports
• Work as a DevOps Engineer, working on Kubernetes setup, project pipeline setup in Jenkins, OpenShift
• Driving CI/CD and automation to modern techniques and practices
• Deliver and support software solutions for various enterprise customers using Microservices, Openshfit, kubernetes Platforms
• Provide hands-on solutions development as part of an agile engineering team responsible for building and supporting Microservices, Openshfit, kubernetes Platforms Automation opportunities which may include platform upgrades involving UI/UX improvements, Network optimization improvements, and development of platform components
• Lead by example in quickly delivering high-value support solutions through DevOps best practices
• Continuously grow the maturity of the team's agile and engineering practices to improve time, quality, and value to market
• Develops innovative approaches on performance optimization & automation
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Eligibility

• Employees designated currently on G25 (Will move to next grade) & G26 (lateral movement) can apply for this position

• Last Common Review rating should be Meeting Expectations or Exceeding Expectations
• Employee should not have availed Onshore opportunity within last 6 months

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Linux, MQ, Jenkins, Java, Git, Rally, OpenShift, Microsoft Azure, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Cloud Config
• Knowledge of Splunk, Promethus, Grafana, AppDynamics, alerting and Monitoring
• Knowledge of Service Now Incident, Problem and Change Management
• Java knowledge, so that resource can work in development also
• Ability to patch updates on Infra side
