Job Overview:


CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer with a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in big data technologies, ETL development, and data modeling, while also being comfortable working with DevOps and CI/CD workflows. Experience with mainframe systems and COBOL will be considered an added advantage.



Your future duties and responsibilities:

5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building scalable data pipelines and warehousing solutions. Proven expertise in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Sqoop, Oozie). Strong experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing. Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD workflows (e.g., Git, Jenkins, BitBucket). Working knowledge data governance, quality management, and compliance practices. Working knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools for data systems. Experience with mainframe technologies and COBOL is a plus.
