Job Description

As part of a dynamic global Cloud Engineering team, you will take a hands-on role in designing and developing business intelligence solutions on the Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will contribute to data architecture, implement scalable data pipelines, and build advanced analytics and reporting capabilities to enable data-driven insights within Calix Cloud.
Responsibilities:Design and develop Looker dashboards and LookML models to deliver actionable insights. Write and optimize complex SQL queries for analytics and reporting. Work extensively with Google BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics. Develop and manage predictive models in Python using techniques such as logistic regression, decision trees, clustering, time series forecasting, and neural networks. Develop and manage ETL workflows using Apache Airflow for data ingestion and transformation. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into BI solutions. Integrate and maintain BI solutions across multiple platforms. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance tuning across all BI tools. Drive continuous improvement and scalability of BI components using automation and metrics-driven approaches. Apply modern DevSecOps and Agile methodologies with a test-first mindset to ensure quality and security. Investigate and resolve technical issues and customer escalations related to BI solutions.

Qualifications:BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or relevant industry standard experience to match. 6+ years of highly technical, hands-on software engineering experience and cloud based BI & Analytics development Over 6 years of experience in LookML development, Looker Dashboards, and Embedded Analytics. Strong expertise in SQL and experience with BigQuery. 3+ years of experience working with Python or R for predictive analytics and advanced data modeling. ETL development experience using Apache Airflow. Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP services and cloud-native architectures. Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and database design, including optimization and performance tuning. Strong, creative problem-solving skills and ability to abstract and share details to create meaningful articulation. Passionate about delivering high quality software solutions and enabling automation in all phases. Organized and goal-focused, ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills:Experience with other BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot. DBT, Informatica or any other ETL Tools

Location:India - (Flexible hybrid work model - work from Bangalore office for 20 days in a quarter)
